SPECIFICATION
Trailer: The system trailer shall be of welded steel construction and comply with U.S. Department of Transportation Safety Regulations 49 CFR 393
Agent Tank Assembly: The tank shall be welded steel construction built to the latest ASME Unfired Pressure Vessel Code
Actuation: Unit actuation shall incorporate an Underwriters Laboratories listed quick opening (QO) nitrogen cylinder valve
Expellant Nitrogen System: Unit agent shall be expelled by gas pressure from nitrogen gas cylinder(s) conforming to the requirements of DOT 3AA. Cylinder size and quantity shall provide for both agent discharge and unit purge requirements
Agent Hand Hose Line and Nozzle: Agent hand hose line shall be 1 in. diameter UL 92 booster hose fitted to the discharge requirements of the unit
• Hose Storage: Hose reel(s) shall be of steel construction suitable for the length and weight of hose

Agent Tank Purge and Blowdown: The system shall be designed so that, after use, components that are normally dry (valves, piping, hoses, nozzles, etc.) can be purged of AFFF agent and blown clean

Detection and Control: The detection and control system shall meet NFPA 72 requirements where applicable
Diagnostics, Alarm and Signaling: The detection system shall include a built-in test system (BITS) to check and report detector sensitivity, wiring continuity, and system logic
Fabrication and Finish: The system shall use material and parts designed for rough handling, durability, and extended exposure to weathering
